“Let us love my Love”,your proposal
Is nectar to my ears and my soul,
And wins my ready, fervent, warm espousal,
And lifts me from this daily rigmarole.
Of toiling through this life an’ breathing hard,
Restricted by the pettiness of things,
And panting onwards, crawling yard by yard,
To non-existent, distant bubbling springs.
In search of verdant valleys, which were cast
Forever and for ever one by one,
When all euphoric reverie were lost,
Ere painful chores of living were begun.
But your proposal to my soul I clasp,
And happiness appears with in grasp.
