All English Sonnets
I just talked to you on phone
And heard your ringing, singing, lovely voice
And wished to, in your charms, dive and drown,
Because for me, there is no other choice.
The laughter in your voice was loud and clear;
Inflexions of your words were intimate;
I wished that you were near me, my dear,
And see me when I strongly reiterate
That I was lonely, lovely, sorely hampered,
When you were brought to me by happenstance,
When I was, by your bubbling person, conquered-
When due to you, inhibitions stood no chance.
When in a fleeting, blissful single day
You stole me from myself and had your say.
