Scholarship Awards

Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust in association with the Department of Dogri and Department of English, University of Jammu has instituted three scholarships namely, ‘Kunwar Viyogi Merit Scholarship‘, ‘Prem Jamwal Kunwar Viyogi Merit Scholarship‘ and ‘Kunwar Viyogi Research Scholarship‘.

‘Kunwar Viyogi Merit Scholarship’ and ‘Prem Jamwal Kunwar Viyogi Merit Scholarship’ are awarded to a male and a female topper of MA Dogri and English, University of Jammu.

‘Kunwar Viyogi Research Scholarship’ is awarded to those who take up research work on the Dogri writers/poets etc., especially Kunwar Viyogi Ji and others. The research includes comparative studies of Dogri works with world literature; study of new genres and cataloging early Dogri literary works to lend a historical perspective to modern-day learner and innovation and translations. The selection is the discretion of University but Trust is part of a final decision on the research subject and would have a right on that research for future use in line with its values and goals.

All the scholarships are instituted to promote and popularize Dogri language amongst the youth while making it sustainable and cause worthy.





  • Mr. Atul Sharma – M.A. Dogri

    The Certificate of Excellence was awarded to Atul Sharma for the outstanding performance in M.A. Dogri.


  • Ms. Pallavi Aggarwal – M.A. Dogri

    The Certificate of Excellence was awarded to Pallavi Sharma for the outstanding performance in M.A. Dogri.


  • Ms. Marvi Salathia – M.A. English

    The Certificate of Excellence was awarded to Marvi Salathia for the outstanding performance in M.A. English.


  • Ms. Pankhuri Aggarwal

    The Kunwar Viyogi young Writers Award is presented to Pankhuri Aggarwal for publication of her book titled: “The Petals of Reminiscence: A Step Back in Time”, a poetic collection with 101 poems. Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust acknowledges Pankhuri’s contribution in promoting the Dogri literature and awards her with the Kunwar Viyogi Young Writers Award.


  • Mr. Sunil Mehra

    The Kunwar Viyogi young Writers Award is presented to Sunil Mehra for publication of her book titled: “SEES”, a collection with short stories. Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust acknowledges Sunil’s contribution in promoting the Dogri literature and awards him with the Kunwar Viyogi Young Writers Award.


  • Mr. Dilbagh Verma

    Mr. Dilbagh Verma won the Kunwar Viyogi Merit Scholarship at the Kunwar Viyogi Utsav 2018.


  • Ms. Ravina Sharma

    Ms. Ravina Sharma bagged the Prem Jamwal Kunwar Viyogi Scholarship at the Kunwar Viyogi Utsav 2018.


  • Mr. Naresh Kumar

    Mr. Naresh Kumar was awarded the Kunwar Viyogi Merit Scholarship during the Kunwar Viyogi Utsav 2017.


  • Ms. Mamta Devi

    Ms. Mamta Devi was awarded the Prem Jamwal Kunwar Viyogi Scholarship during the Kunwar Viyogi Utsav 2017.


  • Mr. Ajay Sharma

    Mr. Ajay Sharma was awarded the Kunwar Viyogi Research Scholarship at the Kunwar Viyogi Utsav 2017.


  • Mr. Ranjit Kumar

    Mr. Ranjit Kumar was awarded Kunwar Viyogi Merit Scholarship during the 2016 Kunwar Viyogi Utsav.


  • Ms. Shiwali Chaudhory

    Ms. Shiwali Chaudhary bagged the Prem Jamwal Kunwar Viyogi Scholarship during the 2016 Kunwar Viyogi Utsav.
