Kunwar Viyogi Sahitya Kala Samman – 2025

The Kunwar Viyogi Sahitya Kala Samman 2025, held under the banner of the 10th Kunwar Viyogi Utsav, is a distinguished cultural and literary gathering that celebrates the rich legacy of Dogra heritage, literature, and art. Organized in collaboration by the Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust (KMV Trust) and Dogri Sanstha, this event is dedicated to honoring stalwarts who have enriched Dogri literature and contributed immensely to the preservation of cultural identity.

This year’s Memorial Lecture pays tribute to the life and works of Padma Shri Mohan Singh Slathia, an eminent literary figure recognized for his path-breaking contributions to Dogri literature. The evening will include the screening of films, citations, and the formal presentation of the Kunwar Viyogi Sahitya Kala Samman to Padma Shri Slathia. His acceptance speech will reflect upon his journey and his role in shaping contemporary Dogri literature.

In addition, the Kunwar Viyogi Sahitya Puruskar 2025 will be conferred upon emerging voices in Dogri literature, recognizing their creativity, innovation, and dedication. The program also features a vibrant Kavi Sammelan hosted by Dogri Sanstha, bringing together poets and artists to celebrate Dogri’s poetic traditions.

The evening will be graced by Chief Guest Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, a noted philanthropist and socialist reformer, whose address will inspire and highlight the continuing relevance of cultural preservation. The program will conclude with a Vote of Thanks by KMV Trust Chairman Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, followed by fellowship over tea and snacks.

Through this Memorial Lecture and cultural celebration, the KMV Trust seeks to uphold the values of creativity, heritage, and innovation, ensuring that the spirit of Kunwar Viyogi continues to inspire generations.
