In collaboration with Cluster University, Jammu, Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust organised “Save the Language Initiative” at Gandhi Nagar Women’s College in Jammu.
Save the Language is an initiative started by KVM Trust to preserve and popularise Dogri language through technology and art innovation.
The trust aims to bring Dogri back to its roots, in the homes and hearts of Jammu.
Discover Dogri App
As a part of “Save the Language” initiative, Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust will be launching the Dogri translation app, ‘Discover Dogri’.
The App is designed with the aim to help people understand and learn the Dogri language. A wide range of Dogri songs, ghazals and music videos are also available to ensure popularization of the melodious Dogri music.

Pehliyaan Banga
Kunwar Viyogi embarked on his literary journey in the year 1956. He is a celebrated writer who wrote a long Dogri poem titled ‘Ghar’. Kunwar Viyogi wrote a sonnet sequence of 200 sonnets in the year 1987.
During the event, the Trust will be launching the digital book of Kunwar Viyogi’s sonnets titled “Pehliyaan Banga“.

Aayi Khushbu (Dogri Music Video )
The Trust will also be launching a Dogri Music Video “Aayi Khushbu”. The music is sung and composed by a very renowned Dogri singer, Jitender Singh Jamwal and directed by a very talented director, Sambhav Sharma. The performing artist is Sanchita Abrol, a brilliant Kathak Dancer.
